Full Form:
KGR stands for Keyword Golden Ratio.

What is the Keyword Golden Ratio (KGR)?
Keyword Golden Ratio (KGR) is a specific type of keyword strategy that helps you rank easily on search engines without building backlinks. This technique is particularly effective for new websites or blogs that aim to rank quickly without extensive SEO efforts.

Search Volume Limit for KGR Keywords

For a keyword to qualify as a KGR keyword, its search volume should be between 0 and 250 per month. If the search volume exceeds 250, it cannot be considered a KGR keyword.

KGR keywords do not require any backlinks to rank on search engines. This is because the KGR strategy targets less competitive keywords that are easier to rank.

How to Find KGR Keywords

To find a KGR keyword, follow these steps:

  1. Choose a Keyword: Start by selecting a keyword with a monthly search volume of 250 or less. You can check the search volume using tools like Google Keyword Planner or the Keywords Everywhere Chrome extension.
  2. Use the Allintitle Command in Google: Next, go to the Google search box and type allintitle:your keyword and hit search. For example, if your keyword is “online income,” you would type allintitle:online income and search.
  3. Apply the KGR Formula: To determine if your keyword is a KGR keyword, use the following formula:

If the result is 0.25 or lower, the keyword is considered a KGR keyword.

Example:
Suppose your keyword is “online income Bangladesh” with a monthly search volume of 100. Then, you type allintitle:Online income Bangladesh into Google and find that there is 1 result. Now, apply the formula:

Since 0.01 is less than 0.25, this is a KGR keyword.

What Does Allintitle Mean?

Allintitle is a Google command used to find KGR keywords. It displays only the pages that have the exact keyword in their title.

How to Identify KGR Keywords

To identify KGR keywords, follow these three steps:

  1. First Step: Find a keyword with a monthly search volume of 250 or less. Use tools like Keywords Everywhere Chrome extension, as it provides data that aligns closely with Google Keyword Planner.
  2. Second Step: Type allintitle: "Your Keyword" in the Google search box and check how many results are shown.
  3. Third and Final Step: Use the formula: (Number of “allintitle” results from Google search) ÷ (Keyword’s monthly search volume). If the result is below 0.25, then it meets the KGR criteria.

Example of a KGR Keyword

Let’s say your keyword is “how to reel in a fly rod,” and its monthly search volume is 20. Now, type allintitle:how to reel in a fly rod in Google and see how many results appear. Assume it shows 8 results. Using the formula:

Since 0.1 is less than 0.25, this keyword meets the KGR criteria.

Who Discovered the KGR Strategy?

Doug Cunnington, CEO of Niche Site Project, created the KGR strategy.

By using the KGR strategy, you can quickly attract good traffic to your website or blog with minimal effort. This approach is especially beneficial for beginners who want to achieve results quickly in less competitive niches.
